The Tarot Transit Mandala places your birth sky inside the planetary sky of a current or chosen date. The inner ring shows your natal planets and the outer ring shows the transiting planets. The lines between them reveal the strongest contacts active at that moment, while five Tarot cards are placed around the most important connections to create one complete reading.
What you need to enter
Start with your birth date. If you know your exact birth time, enter it as well. Then begin typing your birth city and choose the correct place from the suggestions. The location automatically fills the latitude, longitude and birth timezone used for the chart.
The more complete the birth information is, the more detail the mandala can show. An exact birth time and coordinates allow the chart to include the Ascendant, Midheaven and house cusps.
Choosing the transit moment
The Transit Sky is the date and time you want to compare with your natal chart. You can use the present moment or choose another date and time to explore a specific period.
The outer planetary ring is calculated for that transit moment, while your natal ring remains fixed to your birth data.
The inner natal ring
The inner ring contains the planetary positions from your birth sky. These positions describe the permanent structure being contacted by the transiting planets.
Each natal planet is labelled with its sign and degree. Select a planet on the mandala to inspect it more closely.
The outer transit ring
The outer ring contains the planetary positions for the transit date and time you selected. These planets show what is moving across your natal pattern at that moment.
A transit becomes especially important when it forms a close major aspect to one of your natal planets.
Planetary aspects
The colored lines inside the mandala show the major contacts between transiting and natal planets. The reading focuses most strongly on the five closest aspects.
- Conjunction brings two planetary forces together.
- Opposition places two forces across from one another.
- Square creates pressure, movement and a need for response.
- Trine shows an easier flow between two planetary functions.
- Sextile shows an opening, connection or usable opportunity.
What the orb means
The orb shows how close an aspect is to its exact angle. A smaller orb means the contact is more exact. This is why the strongest aspects shown beside the mandala are ranked by closeness.
Click an aspect line or one of the entries in the Five Strongest Aspects panel to highlight that relationship on the chart.
The five Tarot gates
Five Tarot cards are placed around the five strongest natal-transit contacts. Each card becomes a gate for understanding that particular planetary connection from another angle.
A card can appear upright or reversed. Select a card to return to the planetary aspect connected with it and see how the card participates in the larger mandala.
ASC, MC and houses
When exact birth time and coordinates are available, the mandala can show the twelve house cusps together with the four main chart angles: ASC, DSC, MC and IC.
These add another layer by showing where the planetary contacts fall within different areas of life. Without exact birth time, the mandala still calculates the planetary positions and aspects, but these angles and houses are not shown.
The Transit Moon
The Moon moves quickly and helps describe the immediate emotional atmosphere of the chosen transit moment. The panel shows the Moon phase and its illumination so you can place the wider planetary pattern within the current lunar cycle.
How to explore the mandala
Use the zoom controls to move deeper into the wheel. On desktop, enlarge the chart and drag it to inspect different regions. On mobile, use two fingers to zoom and move the chart while one finger continues to scroll the page.
Select planets, aspect lines and Tarot cards. The side panel updates to show the exact relationship you are viewing.
How to use the complete reading
Begin with the five strongest aspects and notice which natal planets are receiving the most attention. Then look at the transit planets involved, the exact aspect types and the Tarot cards attached to those contacts. If houses and angles are available, notice where the strongest contacts fall in the chart.
After exploring the mandala, read the full interpretation and compare it with what you saw in the chart. The most useful themes are usually the ones that repeat across several layers — for example, the same planet appearing in multiple strong aspects, a repeated house emphasis, or several Tarot gates pointing toward a similar area of attention.
