Understanding the Seven-Center Energy Map

This tool uses a seven-center energy map with three vertical energy channels, Kundalini or Inner Energy at the base, and matching center numbers reflected on the palms and fingers.

The three channels

Pingala Nadi — Right Channel. The gold channel is the active, future-facing side of the chart. It is associated with action, planning, effort and dynamism. The head-side label is Ego. When activity is pushed too far, the diagram expresses that side as stress.

Sushumna Nadi — Central Channel. The central channel represents the present and the balanced upward path through the main energy centers. It is the route through which the chart depicts Inner Energy rising toward the crown and integration.

Ida Nadi — Left Channel. The blue channel is the receptive, past-facing side of the chart. It is associated with emotional experience, memory, reflection and inward attention. The head-side label is Superego. When this side becomes heavy or inactive, the diagram expresses that condition as lethargy.

The seven principal energy centers

1 · MooladharaInnocence · the foundation at the base of the system.
2 · SwadisthanaCreativity · creative attention and movement.
3 · NabhiInner Peace · the central abdominal field, surrounded by the Void area.
4 · AnahataSecurity · the heart center.
5 · VishuddhiCommunication · expression, clarity and connection.
6 · AgnyaForgiveness · the forehead center between the channel head-fields.
7 · SahasraraIntegration · the crown where the chart culminates in the lotus symbol.

Void and Kundalini

Void is shown as the larger field around the Nabhi region and is used here as a focus for balance and inner guidance. Kundalini / Inner Energy is represented by the spiral inside the triangular base. In this energy map, it rises through centers 2–7 and reaches the crown.

How the hand map works

The numbered centers are repeated on both hands. The source chart explains that sensations such as tingling, heat, coolness or heaviness may be noticed in the fingers or palm during meditation. In that tradition, the left hand corresponds to the left side, the right hand to the right side, and the same sensation on both hands points toward the central channel. Use the numbered points placed directly on the figure’s hands to connect each finger or palm position with its corresponding numbered center.
