The Secret Black Book of Runes: Craft, Consecrate, and Read Your Own Rune Set (The Black Book Collection by Jacob Oniricus)

Make the runes before you ask them to speak.

The Secret Black Book of Runes is a practical, atmospheric guide to crafting a personal Elder Futhark rune set and learning to use it with clarity, discipline, and imagination.

Beginning at the workbench, Jacob Oniricus leads you through material selection, sizing, surface preparation, carving, painting, finishing, storage, and safe tool use. Separate paths for wood, stone, clay, and low-tool alternatives make the project accessible even if you have never carved or crafted before.

Once your set is complete, the book introduces all twenty-four Elder Futhark runes, their historical context, reconstructed names, core images, and modern divinatory applications. You will learn single-rune draws, structured spreads, rune casting, upright and shadow interpretations, journaling, and responsible reading practices for relationships, work, money, decisions, and personal growth.

Inside you will find:

step-by-step instructions for making a complete rune set;
original black-and-white rune plates to trace;
practical workshop measurements and safety guidance;
clear profiles of all twenty-four Elder Futhark runes;
an honest explanation of reversals and the modern blank rune;
dedication and consecration as optional personal symbolism;
five complete, commented consultations;
reusable reading and journal templates;
a thirty-day apprenticeship for building real interpretive skill.

Historically careful without becoming academic, and evocative without making absolute supernatural claims, this manual is designed for beginners who want more than a list of keywords. It is an invitation to create a durable tool, learn its language, and meet uncertainty with greater attention.
