How the tool works ยท six simple steps
How Menstrual Cycle & Moon Cycle works

Build your personal menstrual + lunar history

Menstrual Cycle & Moon Cycle brings your menstrual cycle, Moon position and emotional reflections into one timeline. You record the first and last day of your period, add how you feel in your Daily Reflection, and the service builds a personal emotional + menstrual + lunar history that becomes more meaningful with every completed cycle.

Record your periodโ†’Follow cycle + Moonโ†’Track emotionsโ†’Complete a cycleโ†’Receive a reportโ†’Build your lunar pattern
1

Start with your cycle

Enter the first day of your most recent period, your usual cycle length, your usual period length and your location. Your usual lengths are only starting estimates; your real averages update from the periods you record.

2

Record each new period

When menstrual bleeding begins, record โ€œMy period startedโ€. That date becomes Cycle Day 1. When bleeding finishes, record โ€œMy period endedโ€ so your period length stays accurate.

3

The Moon is tracked automatically

You never need to enter lunar data. Every calendar day carries its Moon phase, illumination and position within the lunar cycle, so your menstrual history can be viewed beside the Moon.

4

Add Daily Reflections

Whenever you want, record mood, energy, stress, sensitivity, sleep, physical feelings, flow, what you need and your own words about the day. Your saved state appears back in the calendar and can be opened and edited later.

5

Receive your first report

Your first Monthly Insight appears after one complete menstrual cycle. When the next period begins, the previous cycle closes and its lunar alignment can be summarized.

6

See patterns grow over time

After several cycles, your reports and Lunar Alignment Wheel can show whether period starts repeatedly fall near New Moon, Full Moon, waxing Moon, waning Moon, or shift between different lunar regions.

Set your location

How your period start moves through the Moon cycle

Each dot is one recorded period start. A cluster in a similar part of the line suggests a recurring lunar position; movement across the line shows drift.

What appears here after you start?

Your current cycle day, estimated next period, personal average cycle length, shortest and longest recorded cycles, current lunar pattern and todayโ€™s Moon phase appear together in one view.

๐Ÿฉธ
My period started

Use this on the first day of menstrual bleeding. It starts a new menstrual cycle and, when there is a previous cycle, closes it for reporting.

โœ“
My period ended

Mark the final day of bleeding so your period length and history stay accurate.

โ˜พ
Moon data is automatic

The Moon phase and illumination are calculated for you; you do not need to enter lunar information.

Daily reflection ยท your private space

How are you feeling today?

Choose a mood, add energy, stress and sleep, then tell us what is on your mind. Save to receive a response grounded in what you wrote. More details are optional.

You do not have to check in every day.

Daily Reflection is optional. You can record only the days that matter to you, and you do not need to complete every field.

๐Ÿ˜Š
Mood

Choose up to three moods, from calm or motivated through sensitive, restless, overwhelmed, low or withdrawn.

โšก
Energy + sensitivity

Use simple 1โ€“5 scales so changes are easy to compare across your cycle.

๐ŸŒ™
Sleep + physical feelings

Record sleep and physical experiences such as cramps, fatigue, headache, bloating or cravings. On recorded period days, the form also asks how your menstrual flow feels.

โœŽ
Your own note

Add a personal note in your own words. It remains attached to that date in your history.

Your emotional rhythm

How your cycle, the Moon and your feelings line up

Every Daily Reflection keeps three layers together: where you are in your menstrual cycle, where the Moon is, and how you actually felt that day. This view looks for relationships that repeat in your own record.

Lunar Alignment Wheel

Each marker is the first day of one recorded period placed on the 29.53-day lunar cycle. The shape becomes more meaningful as more cycles are added.

How to read it: C1, C2, C3โ€ฆ are successive period starts. The purple marker is your latest recorded start. A tighter cluster suggests a more consistent lunar position; a wider spread suggests your timing is shifting across the lunar cycle.
Your conclusions

Monthly Insights

This is where your written conclusions appear. Reports are created from completed menstrual cycles โ€” not from calendar months.

After 1 completed cycleYour first Monthly Insight can be created when your next period begins and closes the previous cycle.
After about 3 cyclesYour recent cycle starts can begin forming an Emerging Lunar Pattern for comparison.
After 6+ cyclesYour longer history gives a stronger view of your personal Lunar Rhythm and whether it stays stable or shifts.
When exactly will you receive the first conclusion?

Suppose your period begins on August 26. That is the start of a menstrual cycle. When your next period begins, for example on September 24, the August 26 โ†’ September 23 cycle is complete. At that point Menstrual Cycle & Moon Cycle can create the first written Monthly Insight.

โ˜พ
Moon at cycle start

The report looks at Moon phase, illumination, lunar position and how close the cycle start was to New Moon or Full Moon.

โ†—
Waxing or waning

It records which half of the lunar rhythm your period start occurred within and compares that with later cycles.

๐Ÿ“Š
Your menstrual cycle facts

Cycle length, period length and the timing of successive period starts form the core menstrual history.

๐Ÿ˜Š
Your reflections as context

Mood, energy, stress, sensitivity, sleep, physical feelings and your own written reflections become part of the completed-cycle emotional analysis.

โ—Ž
Compare multiple cycles

As history grows, reports can describe whether several recent period starts are appearing in the same lunar region or shifting between regions.

๐Ÿ“–
Where do you read conclusions?

The latest written conclusion appears in Monthly Insight. Older cycle information remains available in History, while the Lunar Alignment Wheel gives the visual long-term view.

Your complete record

Cycle history

Your menstrual and lunar history grows cycle by cycle. Use the calendar for day-level details and this list for recorded period starts.

What stays in your history?

Recorded period starts and ends, cycle days, Moon phases, illumination, Daily Reflections and your completed Monthly Insights. Your history is designed to become more useful over months and years rather than disappearing after a short window.

๐Ÿ“…
Return to older months

Move backward in the calendar and reopen recorded days.

โœŽ
Edit old reflections

If you want to correct a mood, energy score or personal note, open that day and update it.

โ˜พ
Keep the Moon beside the record

Each historical date keeps its lunar context so your cycle history remains connected to the Moon.
