Tarot Foundations is a complete beginner-friendly course designed to teach you how to actually read Tarot — not simply memorise card meanings.
You will learn how the 78-card Tarot deck works, how the Major and Minor Arcana connect, how the four suits influence a reading, how numbers and Court Cards add meaning, and how to interpret symbolism, card positions, reversals and combinations.
The course gradually moves from individual cards to complete Tarot spreads, helping you develop a clear and structured reading method.
What makes this course different is the practical training.
You will not only read lessons and study card meanings. Throughout the course, you will complete real interactive Tarot tests and reading exercises.
You will be shown randomly selected Tarot cards, upright and reversed orientations, specific reading questions and real spread positions. You will then write your own interpretation and receive an evaluation of your reading.
The practical tests become progressively more advanced:
• Interpret a single Tarot card
• Read a card within a specific question and spread position
• Complete a Three-Card Reading
• Complete a Five-Card Reading
• Work with a classic seven-card Horseshoe Spread
• Complete a full ten-card Celtic Cross final challenge
Your answers are evaluated based on important reading skills such as card meaning, position awareness, understanding of reversals, connections between cards and the quality of your final synthesis.
You will also receive feedback showing what you interpreted well, what you may have missed, how you can improve and an example of a stronger interpretation.
This means you are not simply reading about Tarot — you are actively practising it.
During the course you will learn how to:
• Understand the structure of the complete 78-card Tarot deck
• Read the Major Arcana and understand the Fool’s Journey
• Interpret Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles
• Understand numbers and Court Cards
• Read Tarot imagery and symbolism
• Work with upright and reversed cards
• Ask better Tarot questions
• Understand spread positions
• Connect several cards into one coherent story
• Recognise repeated suits, numbers and larger patterns
• Handle contradictory or difficult cards
• Perform Three-Card, Five-Card, Horseshoe and Celtic Cross readings
• Develop your own Tarot reading method
• Keep a useful Tarot journal and continue practising independently
The lessons are structured so that your confidence develops gradually. You begin with the foundations and progressively move toward complete readings where several cards must be interpreted together.
By the end of the course, you should be able to look at a Tarot spread and do more than identify individual card meanings. You will understand how to connect the cards, recognise the main themes and create a clear interpretation that answers the original question.
The course finishes with a complete Celtic Cross challenge and a final lesson on building your own Tarot practice, including a 30-day practice plan to help you continue developing after completing the course.
This is a practical Tarot course. You learn, practise, complete real reading tests and receive feedback on your interpretations.
No previous Tarot experience is required.
